About the Role
Work as the lead Senior Interior Designer for KAL Architects. Develop interior design concepts for client presentations. Involvement in all aspects of interior design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Communicate with clients, product manufacturer's representatives, and in-house staff effectively.
The role also involves directing and supervising activities for the Junior Interior Design staff in the planning and design of interiors, including furniture, fixtures, & equipment (FF&E) and the gathering of information for design requirements, specifications, materials, and budgets.
Duties:
• Produce (Revit/CAD) drawings for the development of construction documents
• Attend client meetings
• Communicate with manufacturer's representatives and vendors in both written & verbal formats
• Research, evaluation, and selection of FF&E
• Writing furniture specifications
• Organize and maintain Interior Design resources for project use
• Create finish, materials, and furniture boards & binders to document project selections
• Create project documents to record meeting minutes, schedules, budgets, & project correspondence
• Visit job/project sites for measurements, site surveys, and meetings
Requirements
NCIDQ Certification
Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design/Interior Architecture from an accredited institution
5-8 Years of experience with architectural designers and coordinating with other discipline designers
Experience with REVIT and AutoCAD software (BIM360 experience is a plus)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) including Excel (to develop and utilize spreadsheets & data for project documentation)
Background with Public projects, including for the Federal Government/Military Installations
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Strong organizational skills
US citizen
