About the Role

Senior Civil Engineer will perform site investigations, prepare calculations / drawings / design specifications detailing the layout and materials for all civil requirements / systems including site utility requirements such as natural gas, water, sewer, etc.

Senior Civil Engineer will prepare required calculations for systems, prepare specifications, requisitions, and bid analysis / purchase orders for the materials covered on the drawings.

Senior Civil Engineer will coordinate and provide input with the architect, structural engineer, electrical engineer, and mechanical engineer to provide a fully coordinated design package.

Primary Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an American Board of Engineering Technology Accredited Engineering College / University

  • Minimum of 7 years of consulting experience with a civil engineering design firm

  • Professional Civil Engineer licensure in California

  • Experience with Civil 3D / CADD / PCASE / Civil engineering software

  • Background with Public Projects including the Federal Government / Military

  • Experience with airfield pavement and road design

  • US Citizenship

  • Some travel to client sites for investigations and meetings

Additional Skills Required:

  • Ability to perform constructability review of drawings

  • Experience coordinating with consultants & contractors

  • On-site field experience

  • Ability to review calculations, drawings, and specification to provide meaningful comments

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Construction Administration Services
