Design-Build RFP of new Modular Building at VAMC San Diego

KAL was tasked with developing a 65% Design-Build RFP for a new 30,000 SF modular building at the VAMC San Diego, CA campus. This structure provided "swing space" for the administration of expanded services. Design services involved the design of an administrative structure to promote optimization of space utilization for VA program expansion and reduction; drainage systems, landscaping, elevators, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, seismic design, fire protection and sprinklers, and building security systems. KAL's design for construction under LEED guidelines and designated as "Silver Standards."
