Renovations to 3 Chapels at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin

KAL was tasked by the providing construction document for improvements to the Base Chapels at Ft. Irwin, CA. Buildings 211, 315, and 320 served as churches, offices, counseling rooms, and activity rooms which were conditioned by air handlers and split system HVAC systems. All systems showed signs of wear and loss of functionality, and most of the equipment had reached the end of its useful life. The scope of work for these buildings included required handicap accessibility, evaluation of HVAC system, installation of seismic shut-off valve on the gas meter, replacement of exterior and interior lighting, installation of mass notification system, upgrade of the Fire Alarm System, changing all meters to E-MON D-MON, provide fiber (NEC) access to offices and sanctuary, and limited finish modifications.
