Conceptual Design to Repair Boilers for 2 Heat/Steam Plants at Hill AFB

KAL conducted a feasibility study and life-cycle analysis for the replacement of 11 boilers, some more than 50 years old and well-past their service life, at 2 heat/steam plants at Hill AFB, UT. The study researched the demolition/replacement of 8 boilers with a combined heat/power unit and the demolition/replacement of 4 new high-efficiency, low-emission boilers in Building 260, as well as the demolition/replacement of 3 boilers with 3 new high-efficiency boilers in Building 1286.
