AE-3 Technical Review of Clinic & HVAC renovation at Hurlburt Field

KAL was tasked to conduct a Technical Review during the design and construction phases for a Clinic Renovation at Hurlburt Field, Elgin AFB, FL. This project involved renovating 6 buildings including their HVAC systems. A new, properly-sized Air Handling Unit was part of the renovation to Building 91020, the mechanical room was resized to accommodate a new unit, the split DX systems serving some areas removed, 1 AHU-1 was modified to serve additional areas with new VAV terminals and ventilation systems and another 2 HVAC systems were modified to accommodate new floor plans. VFDs were replaced in 2 of the AHUs. Complete HVAC system testing and balancing was conducted for ultimate performance.
