Perimeter Security Combating Terrorism at Naval Outlaying Landing Field, Imperial Beach

KAL served as the Lead Design Firm for this design-build project replacing the Main Gate and Guard House at the Naval Outlaying Landing Field at Imperial Beach, CA. KAL's deliverables included the conceptual design, construction documents & drawings, specifications, design study & analysis, risk identification, and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection. This project called for the erection of an 8-foot masonry wall along the south side of the Entry Control Facility (ECF) to replace the existing chain link fence as well as to provide screening of the loading dock area, pump house & water tank, and to act as a protective barrier within the ECF Safety Zone. The ECF was equipped with new vehicle gates & bollards as well as new traffic islands, signage, a flag pole and electronic signage.
