New Landside Office & Crew Bert for US Coast Guard in Corona del Mar

KAL was the Lead Design Firm for the development and completion of 100% design documents for this Design-Build new construction of the Narwhal Landside Office & Crew Berth in Corona del Mar, CA. The design for the 1,450 SF facility includes offices, storage, communications room, hazardous materials storage, restrooms and showers for men & women, HVAC system, intrusion detection system, and fire suppression/alarm system. The electrical power supply included a photovoltaic solar panel array, helping the new facility to achieve the status of "grid neutral (netZero)" as well as the US Green Building Certification LEED Gold.
