KAL worked as the design consultant for a Design-Build Team led by Stronghold Engineering to provide complete renovation of the Jerry L. Pettis Veteran’s Administration Ambulatory Care Clinic. Renovation of the 10,000 square foot Ambulatory Care Clinic included reception, administration, waiting, utility, exam and storage areas.
Design Work included the selection of tile, carpets, colors, and other finishes as well as designing cabinetry and casework for the special needs of the patients. The Ambulatory Care Clinic was designed to contain functional areas for Urgent Care, Module 1 and 2 Exam and Nursing Areas, Waiting, Reception, and Educational Rooms.

Improvements to Cystology Treatment Rooms and File Storage, VAMC Loma Linda, CA
Loma Linda
KAL provided Architectural-Engineering Services for remodeling VAMC Loma Linda Cystology Rooms. This project corrected deficiencies in the medical gas/vacuum system. The project team met with doctors, infection control, nurses, biomedical engineering, engineering and administration staff, prepared design development drawings and construction documents.
KAL provided architectural-engineering design services for a new building to house a medical records filing room, insurance and correspondence, and related functions and necessities of a complete and functional building. KAL also converted the previous medical records file rooms and insurance offices into staff and support offices.

Conversion of Historic Building to Healthcare Facility, South Pasadena, CA
Pasadena
KAL provided design services for Conversion of Existing Historic Structure to Medical Facility - KAL worked on the conversion of an existing 6,000 Square Feet Office Complex into a complete new working Medical Facility. KAL Architects provided exterior/interior design including the identification of replacement brick to match existing and interior paint colors to be used. During construction the beautiful original exterior was discovered and the exterior design was changed to restore the building to its original appearance.
