The scope of A-E services for this demolition project included providing construction documents for the RFP package. The project involved conducting field investigations, existing documents search, preparation of asbestos and lead survey, preparation of plans and specifications, and cost estimate for the demolition of several buildings.  Plans also included pest control where demolition was adjacent to occupied buildings, site restoration such as paving or landscaping, and reuse/recycle of materials in the project.

This task also called for developing plans and specifications for the demolition of a Base Fuel Farm.  We provided A-E services for the preparation of final demolition drawings, specifications, reports and cost estimates for the purpose of bidding and demolition/site restoration. Work included preparation of Technical Memorandum addressed to the Navy consisting of recommendations for the removal of fuel tanks, associated pump house and distribution piping system, and to satisfy closure under Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA).  For this project, Sustainable Design issues included overseeing the reuse of scrap metal resulting from the demolishment of the Fuel Farm.  Resulting scrap metal was either resold or reused as recycled metal
